Privacy Policy

The short version

WuShi has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We — the developer — don't run servers that hold your data, and we can't see what you put on your board.

What WuShi keeps, and where

The things you add — names, dates, quantities, prices, notes, checklists, photos and attached documents — are stored on your iPhone.

If iCloud is turned on for WuShi, they are also kept in your own private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit, so they sync between your devices and come back if you reinstall. That data sits in your iCloud account, under Apple's protection. We have no access to it.

Your display name and avatar are stored the same way: on your iPhone and in your private iCloud database.

Shared groups

When you create or join a group, the things in that group, along with your display name and avatar, are stored in the group owner's iCloud and shared through Apple's iCloud sharing with the group's members. Everyone in the group can see them.

If you leave a group, the things you added go back to your own board. If the owner removes a member or dissolves the group, its shared copy is deleted from iCloud.

Camera and photos

WuShi uses the camera to photograph items and to read dates and barcodes from labels. Reading happens on your iPhone; images are not sent anywhere. Photos you keep are stored with your things, as described above.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. They are not sent from a server.

Exchange rates

To show prices in different currencies, WuShi downloads exchange rates from Frankfurter (api.frankfurter.dev), an open-source rate service. The request contains only currency codes. As with any connection to a website, the service can see your device's IP address. No other information is sent.

Purchases

WuShi Plus is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we never receive your payment details.

Widgets and Control Center

Widgets and controls read your board from your iPhone. Nothing leaves the device for them.

Children

WuShi is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Deleting your data

• Delete a thing, or finish it, from inside the app.
• Deleting WuShi removes everything stored on that iPhone.
• To delete the iCloud copy, go to Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › WuShi.
• Leave or dissolve groups from the group's page.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
